Time to Switch?

QUESTION YOURSELF: If you are a Republican, can you support the party that thinks it is a reasonable thing for protestors to call members of the opposition party by foul racist and sexual slurs?

Think about it. That's exactly what Republican spokes-troll Rep. Devin Nunes of California thinks, speaking as a member of the party this morning in response to the sick verbal abuse inflicted by Tea-Baggers yesterday on Rep. Barney Frank and Rep. John Lewis.

Nunes actual words:
“When you use a totalitarian tactics, people, you know, begin to act crazy,” Nunes told C-SPAN’s Steve Scully Sunday morning when asked about the slurs. “I think that people have every right to say what they want. If they want to smear someone they can do it. It’s not appropriate--I think I would stop short of characterizing the 20,000 people protesting, that all of them were doing that.”
"Not appropriate" are the strongest words of condemnation Nunes can come up with.

Well. Okay. Then. By that standard, I guess it's perfectly okay to slander David Nunes as an illiterate, self-abusing, corpse-eating, Satan-worshiping, porn-addicted, wife-beating, dope-smoking flat-Earther. And charter member of NAMBLA.

Sorry. Yeah. That's going too far. Scratch "illiterate."

(John Lewis, BTW, is a heckuva nice guy and real American hero who was savagely beaten in 1961 in Montgomery while marching to end racial discrimination in this country. Fuck you if think otherwise. Barney Frank if you don't know is the second openly gay member of Congress and while I think he should occasionally think before speaking - as smart and amusing as he can be - I bet Frank would probably speak up in defense of a toad like Nunes if he were similarly abused by Democratic protestors. Again, fuck you...Seriously, I just don't care if you have an opposing opinion on this subject. I really don't.)

Actually, that didn't happen. Clyburn and the others are lying. Where's the evidence? Recall that Clyburn was the master race baiter acting on BHO's behalf in the primary against Hillary.

Wow, it's been awhile since I've had a visitor from another planet.

But, on behalf of the people of Earth, welcome!

We hope you will eventually learn to understand our ways and live in peace with us.

Not a single video or audio example of any of this occurring. These folks hear bigotry when they are being opposed. If there was any evidence it would be all over the place

Still waiting.....
Can't spell "LIbEral" without "LIE"

Maybe there isn't any documentary evidence of what happened to Lewis, etc (besides the video of the spitting incident that happens to be all over the web and even shows a White Power flag being openly paraded in the background), but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Republicans and conservatives are very good at making up things and saying they are real because they say they are real. We were supposed to believe that Sadam had WMDs because Bush said he did, despite all evidence to the contrary, then and now.

You're not going to convince me that a person of displayed integrity like John Lewis is lying about this.

You, on the other hand, don't even have the decency to make a fake name for yourself and have to hide behind "Anonymous" when you make your comments. Really can't take anything you say seriously simply because of that. At least make up a persona. You'll be in good company. Your heroes like to make shit up too.

WMD's made up? Then Bill Clinton and the UN where part of that lie. Because Bill said that "Someday, some way he will use them"
The UN thought he had them because he used them against Iraqis
Terrible argument point

There was a Soviet Flag being waved by a jubilant fan in front of the White House the evening of his election. Does that mean that Communists love Obama? Certainly the CPUSA does as well as Castro, who has had many nice things to say about the Messiah. (Farrakhan's choice of phrase)
The fact that there is no documentary evidence of the N-word being hurled is de facto proof that it didn't occur.

Sandra Bullock was married to a Nazi, does that make her one?

Thanks. You just proved that WMDs didn't exist by this very argument. And that thousands of American soldiers have died in vain because of George W. Bush.

In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

"Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, 2002
"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -- Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998

"(W)e need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. ...And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. That is why the world, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with one voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm. So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War." -- John Kerry, Jan 23, 2003

Interesting that you only choose Dems, when members of both parties were fooled into saying things like this by the deliberately falsified information they received as "intelligence" from the Bush Administration. It just goes to show you that if you only present people with one set of information to base their conclusions on, they are likely to draw the wrong conclusion. And when efforts are purposefully made to distort the given information, as was done by Bush and Company, the results can be tragic. As they have been.

"Even today, Iraq is not nearly disarmed. Based on highly credible intelligence, UNSCOM [the U.N. weapons inspectors] suspects that Iraq still has biological agents like anthrax, botulinum toxin, and clostridium perfringens in sufficient quantity to fill several dozen bombs and ballistic missile warheads, as well as the means to continue manufacturing these deadly agents. Iraq probably retains several tons of the highly toxic VX substance, as well as sarin nerve gas and mustard gas. This agent is stored in artillery shells, bombs, and ballistic missile warheads. And Iraq retains significant dual-use industrial infrastructure that can be used to rapidly reconstitute large-scale chemical weapons production." -- Ex-Un Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter in 1998

Ad Bill Clinton was saying those things while HE was President. Before the Evil Bush/Cheney lies......As well as Nancy Pelosi.....
Are you aware of that, or do you choose to ignore it?
I think the answer is obvious

very obvious

And Rep Cleaver is backing away from the initial claim about spitting....
ABC claims to have a tape of someone calling Barney Frank a 'fag' but won't release it. I wonder why that would be?
Inquiring minds want to know
