Let Money Ring!

I got a great troll comment last night about my snarky crap-down of Glenn Beck's upcoming ego-rama event in DC tomorrow. But I'm wondering if the troll who says he/she/it (what gender are trolls?) will be in attendance knows that they are giving their monies first and foremost to Mr. Glenn Beck's pockets and NOT to the charity being horribly abused and used promoted by Beck.

Yup, according to the Restoring Honor website:
"All contributions made to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) will first be applied to the costs of the Restoring Honor Rally taking place on August 28, 2010."
Yeah. What do you wanna bet that the above means SOWF ain't gettin' shit from Beck. They're just getting shit on. Poor fuckers.

"Attention non-existent readers of mine. I got my first reply in months!"
But seriously, the rally was great and the weather held up nicely for us. It was ten times the size of the hate-filled "Reverend" Al Sharpton's nut-fest. See you in November, loser

So glad you enjoyed it. Seriously. Most interesting was the almost total lack of media coverage it got. I spent an hour last night and only found one story with basic coverage at each of five major news sites I went to. CNN had two if you count a video excerpt of a speech. I thought this was an epochal moment in American history that all of the future would hinge upon? Seems like a bust from the rest of the country's vantage point.

Why would the five major news sites you subscribe to ignore a half-million strong rally? I would pick other news sources unless you want to remain so ill-informed. It goes without saying why CNN wouldn't be interested....C-Span carried the entire event and The Washington Post had front page stories for two days.
Ignore us at your own peril. Should be an interesting November

Half a million? More like 100,000 if they were really lucky. Have you seen the overhead shots? There's enough green grass in the crowd to play a serious game of lawn jarts in a hundred places and never poke out an eye. The number Beck is pushing would have had people standing INSIDE of other people given the square footage of the area. Meanwhile reports have come out that folks had no problem walking through the audience and that it was never too crowded all day.

It all translates to "I'm gonna steal all your money and laugh at you while I do it!"
