I must admit, Pat Buchanan has given me much pleasure in the last year or two. His odd ability to vacillate (with pico-second precision) between the unreal/insane and the precisely logical and perceptive has fascinated and entertained me.
Today is no exception. It's long, but worth it. Watch Pat, an ardent Catholic, declare dead and gone the concept of papal infallibility. It's sweet, kids, totally sweet.
I was amazed. To watch someone reject one of the core tenets of their faith to bolster a political ideology (while using same faith as the basis of their argument for doing so) was absolutely incredible. Somehow, his brain did not implode.
Never liked Pat/hated Pat(mostly) but the more you listen to him,as you said he can go from crazy to total logic in one sentence.....and back again. Not the right wing moral dolt I thought,at least once in awhile .Lotta stuff goin on it that guys head.
