And Now For Something Completely Different

* * * BREAKING NEWS * * *

I only saw the headline, "McCain Chooses Palin," but I couldn't be more excited. In fact, I'm already switching my registration from "Crazy Ass Anarchist" to "Republican - Non-Monocled"!

Who'd a thunk it, really? John McCain picking Monty Python's Michael Palin as his running-mate? Wow - wow - wow!!!

This is groundbreaking, history-making political news. I'm so excited to be living in this new age of American politics when an aging pale British comedy writer and performer may become not just the next Vice President but - given the inevitable heart attack/stroke/brain fever/chilblain/infected carbuncle that's sure to limit McCain's one and only term - next President of the United States of America!

I hope John Cleese is named Secretary of Silly Walks in Palin's Cabinet.

Wasn't Obama's speech the greatest of all time? I do like the Michael Palin comparisons though. What a great VP he would make. He could appoint a minister of silly walks.

I had to laught because I beat Keith Olberman to the punch by about 10 minutes. He also mentioned the same experience I had - waking to the radio report of "McCain may pick Palin" and thinking Michael Palin immediately! I love Keith. But not in the creepy man-love way that Chris Matthews loves important men.

Seriously, about this Sarah Palin, I'm thrilled. It shows McCain is nothing but a pandering fool, playing to the religious right at the last minute with this choice. And it throws all of his "experience" attacks on Obama out the window, too. Great job, John - great job!

Maaan! a victory for 'you couldn't make this shit up politics' I mean those Republicans must be some scared and desperate muthafuckers to pull a stunt like that to get votes. I now here that after a days vetting and 5 days into the job, they may have to get rid of her, in case it damages their chances, ah! the irony, You couldnt make this.....shit up!
