Lincoln Didn't Have a Middle Name

But our new President does. And it's a name that crackpots and crazies and Republicans - maybe it's redundant, including Republicans after the aforementioned - will never allow him to forget.

My middle name is Albert. It was my Mom's father's name. I love it for that reason. I also hate it because I was a fat kid when Fat Albert was at it's height of popularity. And I love it because of the cool acronym it makes of my initials. __ A __. Cooh, eh?

Obama obviously has had a lot of mixed feelings about his own names, first and middle of the years, and if the kind of loco-weed crap that leading American politicians like this moron sling around in public is any indication, I can sympathize.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the inauguration of our 44th President, Barack Hussein Obama. I cannot wait to hear him say his full name, with pride and dignity. Why? Because everytime he says it, a Republican dies a little bit inside. And an angel gets shot in the face by Dick Cheney.

Damn. No more Cheney jokes soon.

WASHINGTON: A Muslim scholar chosen to speak at President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural prayer service Wednesday is the leader of a group that federal prosecutors say has ties to terrorists.

Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America, is one of many religious leaders scheduled to speak at the prayer service at Washington's National Cathedral.

Mattson has been the guest of honor at State Department dinners and has met with senior Pentagon officials during the Bush administration. She also spoke at a prayer service at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

But in 2007 and as recently as last July, federal prosecutors in Dallas filed court documents linking the Hartford, Conn.-based Islamic society to the group Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist organization.

Neither Mattson nor her organization have been charged. But prosecutors wrote in July that they had "a wide array of testimonial and documentary evidence expressly linking" the group to Hamas and other radical groups.

And you're point is? All this article says is that the group this Mattson belongs to or represents has some kind of connection to Hamas. Yes, Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by our government. The article also says no charge of any kind have been made against this group. I know that in Bush's post-September 11th world, all are supposed to be guilty by association, but that world is hopefully ending.

If we want to take things to an extreme, I bet there are Senators and Congressfolk and labor and religious leaders who will be in attendance that have donated money to Irish-American organizations which support Sinn Féin, the political wing of the terrorist IRA group. Or even - gasp! - belong to such groups. But we don't make a big deal about things like that because those terrorists are Christian and have white skins. Even though they are the enemies of our allies.

Prove that Mattson is a terrorist and you've got a case. The days of bullying and fear-mongering through guilt by association are about to end.

Remember, you've got connections to me. You leave regular comments of late on my posts. And I post some pretty "CRAZZZZZY" stuff - so look out. They'll be coming for you next!

Don't forget that the Dept. of Homeland Security claims that The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) also has terrorist connections. Quaker terrorists? Please! Basically, they've tagged every organization that has given aid of any kind in the middle east.

Whoa! That one I hadn't heard about it! Those darn scary Quakers.

Hey, Nixon was a Quaker, wasn't he? Oh no - that means Nixon was a terrorist!

All makes sense now.

If I remember correctly, there was some dispute about Nixon's status as a Quaker. I believe that while Nixon claimed to be a Quaker, the Quakers didn't claim Nixon. I can't remember for sure, though.
