Happy Birthday

The first thing I think of on September 11 is not the terrorist attack. I think of my Dad. September 11 is his birthday. He died a year before the attacks, fortunately. I say fortunately because it would have hurt him to have that day and his birthday conflated together for the rest of his life. I wish he wasn't gone; I miss him greatly. But that is one blessing at least in his passing.

Happy Birthday, Dad! I love you. Wish you were here.

Thanks, man, that's really nice. I inherited the "Have a beer" gene from him.

You're dad sems like a cool guy - my dad has never drank a beer with me but I still love him to death. i am lucky as so many aquaintances parents have passed and i have been spared the grief. Thatnks for the great records and i hope to visit often.

He was a decent man. Never understood why all of his children were so obsessed with music. Though I found his vintage 50s stash of 45s back in the 80s. Quite a nice variety of stuff, from Slim Whitman to Elvis to Basie, with a little bit of everything else in between. And he told me this was only a few of his old records. His little sister stole all of his good ones when he got out of the Air Force!

Come back anytime.
